LONDON BOROUGH OF MERTON WAITING AND LOADING RESTRICTIONS (AMENDMENT (NO 246)) ORDER 2005

LOCKS LANE AND EASTFIELDS ROAD, MITCHAM

1. Notice is hereby given that the London Borough of Merton, after consulting the Commissioner of Police of the Metropolis, has made the above mentioned Order under section 6 and 124 of, and Part IV to, Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) and the Road Traffic Act 1991. The Order shall become operational on the 10 October 2005. 2. The general effects of the Order will be: (a) to amend the London Borough of Merton (Waiting and Loading Restrictions) Order 1977 to introduce waiting restrictions in the roads detailed in Schedule 1 to this Notice; (b) to amend the London Borough of Merton (Waiting and Loading Restrictions) Order 1977 to introduce loading restrictions operating in the roads detailed in Schedule 2 to this Notice. 3. Nothing in this Order will apply to any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes. 4. A copy of the Order, a plan identifying the area affected by the Order, and the Council’s statements of reasons for making the Order can be inspected during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays inclusive at the Merton Link, Merton Civic Centre, London Road, Morden, Surrey. 5. Any person desiring to question the validity of the Order or of any provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Act, or that any of the relevant requirements of the Act, or of any relevant regulations made under that Act have not been complied with in relation to the Order may, within 6 weeks from the date on which the Order was made, make an application for the purpose to the High Court. Schedule 1 Waiting Restrictions Operating at Any Time Locks Lane, Mitcham: (a) North Side: (i) Between its junction with Streatham Road and a point 15 metres north-west of the north-western kerbline of Kennedy Close. (b) South Side: (i) Between its junction with London Road and a point 15 metres south-east of the south-eastern kerbline of Firtree Avenue. (ii) Between a point 15 metres south-east of the south-eastern kerbline of Carew Road to a point 22 metres north-west of the north-western kerbline of Carew Road. Waiting Restrictions Operating between 7.00 am and 7.00 pm Monday to Saturday inclusive Eastfields Road, Mitcham: (a) North Side: Between its junction with Grove Road and its junction with Locks Lane. (b) South Side: Between its junction with Grove Road and its junction with Locks Lane. Locks Lane, Mitcham: (a) North Side: Between its junction with Eastfields Road and a point 15 metres north-west of the north-western kerbline of Kennedy Close. (b) South Side: (i) Between its junction with Eastfields Road and a point 15 metres south-east of the south-eastern kerbline of Carew Road. (b) South Side: Between its junction with Grove Road and its junction with Locks Lane.
