STOPPING-UP OF HIGHWAYS (COUNTY OF ESSEX) (NO 14) ORDER 2005

The Secretary of State for Transport hereby gives notice that, on application of Mr P Stanford, he has made an Order under section 247 of the above Act entitled “The Stopping-up of Highways (County of Essex) (No 14) Order 2005”, authorising the stopping-up of an area of all-purpose highway land adjacent to 9 St John’s Green, Colchester, Essex, to enable the change of use from highway land to private for use as off-road parking, to be carried out in accordance with the planning permission granted under Part III of the Act to Mr P Stanford by Colchester Borough Council, on 3 March 2005, under Ref C/COL/05/0040. Copies of the Order may be obtained, free of charge, on application to the Government Office for the East of England (Planning Casework Team), Eastbrook, Shaftesbury Road, Cambridge CB2 2DF (quoting Ref GT/A1530/35/01/106), and may be inspected at all reasonable hours at the offices of Colchester Borough Council, Planning and Protection, PO Box 889, Town Hall, Colchester CO1 1FL. Any person aggrieved by the Order and desiring to question the validity thereof, or of any provision contained therein, on the ground that it is not within the powers of the above Act, or that any requirement of that Act or of any regulation made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the Order, may, within 6 weeks of 30 September 2005, apply to the High Court for the suspension or quashing of the Order or of any provision contained therein.
