CONTINUING THE WAITING RESTRICTIONS IN CHRYSSELL ROAD, HOLLAND GROVE AND VASSALL ROAD
(This notice is about making permanent the waiting and loading restrictions in the
roads or certain parts of the roads mentioned above which are currently in force by
virtue of an experimental order).
1. Notice is hereby given that the Council of the London Borough of Lambeth on 14
September 2005 made the Lambeth (Waiting and Loading Restriction) (Special Parking
Area) (Amendment No 91) Order 2005 and the Lambeth (Waiting and Loading Restriction)
(Amendment No 108) Order 2005 under sections 6 and 124 of, and Part IV of Schedule
9 to, the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The Orders will come into force on 19
September 2005.
2. The general effect of the Orders will be to continue to:
(a) ban waiting by vehicles and prohibit loading by vehicles at any time in the road
or lengths of road specified in Schedule 1 to this notice; and
(b) ban waiting by vehicles between 8.30 am and 5.30 pm Mondays to Saturdays inclusive
in the length of Holland Grove specified in Schedule 2 to this notice (exemptions
will apply for vehicles waiting for loading and unloading purposes, subject to certain
conditions and time limits).
3. Any existing prohibitions on waiting by vehicles in the lengths of roads specified
in paragraph 2 above will be revoked.
4. The Orders are necessary to continue to improve road safety.

6. Documents giving more detailed particulars of the Orders are available for inspection
until the last day of a period of six weeks beginning with the date on which the Orders
are made, Mondays to Fridays, between 9.30 am and 4.30 pm (except bank holidays) In
the offices of Lambeth Borough Council’s Transport and Highways Group, 3rd Floor,
Blue Star House, 234-244 Stockwell Road, Brixton, London SW9 9SP.
7. If any person wishes to question the validity of the Orders or any of their provisions
on the grounds that it or they are not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic
Regulation Act 1984, or that any requirement of that Act or of any instrument made
under that Act has not been complied with, that person may, within 6 weeks from the
date on which the Orders were made, apply for the purpose to the High Court.

(a) the south-west side, between the Vassall Road and its north-western extremity;
(b) the north-east side, between Vassall) Road and a point 10 metres north-west of
Vassall Road;
(c) the north-west side.

Grove and a point 9 metres south-west of Holland Grove
