PUBLIC NOTIFICATION OF AN APPLICATION MADE UNDER REGULATION 10 OF THE POLLUTION PREVENTION AND CONTROL (ENGLAND AND WALES) REGULATIONS 2000

INTEGRATED POLLUTION PREVENTION AND CONTROL

Notice is hereby given that Leverton-Clarke Ltd has applied to the Environment Agency for an Integrated Pollution Prevention and Control (IPPC) permit to operate an installation involving the manufacture of metal salts. The installation is located at Units 16 and 17 Sherrington Way, Lister Road Industrial Estate, Basingstoke, Hampshire RG22 4DQ, in the borough of Basingstoke and Deane in the county of Hampshire. The application contains a description of any foreseeable significant effects of emissions from the installation on the environment. Information relating to the above IPPC application for a permit to operate the Sherrington Way Chemical Works is held in registers at the following locations: The Environment Agency, Swift House, Frimley Business Park, Camberley, Surrey GU16 7SQ. Opening time: 10.00 am. Cloting time: 3.00 pm; and Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council, Civic Offices, London Road, Basingstoke, Hampshire RG21 4AH. Opening time: 8.30 am. Closing time: 4.30 pm. Members of the public can inspect these registers, free of charge, at the above-stated addresses during the hours shown. In addition, members of the public who wish to obtain a copy of the relevant information contained in the registers can do so upon the payment of a reasonable charge to cover the costs of copying. Any objections or representations to the above IPPC application should be made in writing to the Environment Agency at the address below, within 28 days from the date of this public notice: The Environment Agency, Bedford SPG, Howard House, 49-64 St Johns Street, Bedford MK42 0LD. Any such objections or representations will be entered into the public register unless the person making them requests in writing that they should not be so placed. If there is such a request, the register will only include a statement that there has been a request.
