WATER RESOURCES ACT 1991, AS AMENDED BY THE ENVIRONMENT ACT 1995, SCHEDULE 10

NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR CONSENT FOR THE PURPOSES OF SECTION 88

Notice is hereby given, in accordance with Schedule 10 of the Water Resources Act 1991, that an application has been made to the Environment Agency by Environment Agency, Thames Region, Kings Meadow House, Kings Meadow Road, Reading, Berkshire RG1 8DQ, for consent to discharge 3 cubic metres per day of treated sewage effluent from Old Windsor Lock, Old Windsor, Windsor, Berkshire SL4 2JZ, into land at National Grid Ref SU 9951 7478. Details of the proposal are contained in the register held by the Agency at its office in Frimley. The register is held at Swift House, Frimley Business Park, Frimley, Surrey GU16 7SQ, and may be inspected, free of charge, from 9.30 am to 4.30 pm, Monday to Friday inclusive. Enquiries by telephone (01276 454302) may be made between the hours of 9.00 am and 5.00 pm Monday to Friday inclusive. Any person who wishes to make representations or objections with respect to the application should do so, in writing, to the Regulatory Officer, Water Quality, Environment Agency, Swift House, Frimley Business Park, Camberley, Surrey GU16 7SQ, quoting application No S/WR 1380, not later than 19 October 2005. The Environment Agency is committed to maintaining and, where possible, improving water quality. If, after full consideration of this application and any representations made by interested parties, it is decided that consent can be given, then conditions will be imposed to ensure that the effluent receives treatment before discharge to the receiving waters so that the above aims are met.
