NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR A LICENCE TO ABSTRACT WATER

Take notice that Cobdown Sports & Social Club, of Station Road, Ditton, Aylesford ME20 6AU, is applying to the Environment Agency for a licence to abstract water from Ditton Stream, at National Grid Refs TQ 7107 5864 and TQ 7131 5868, at Cobdown Sports & Social Club. The proposal is to abstract water at the following rates: 9.4 cubic metres per hour, 54.2 cubic metres per day, 9,880 cubic metres, between 1 April and 30 September each year. The water will be used for irrigation of bowls greens, croquet lawns and cricket pitches. A copy of the application and any map, plans or other documents submitted with it may be inspected, free of charge, at all reasonable hours at Cobdown Sports & Social Club, between 9 September 2005 and 9 October 2005. Any person who wishes to make representations about the application should do so in writing to the Environment Agency, Orchard House, Endeavour Park, London Road, Addington, West Malling, Kent ME19 5SH.
