STOPPING-UP OF HIGHWAY

Notice is hereby given that application will be made to the Magistrates’ Court sitting at Gillbridge Avenue, Sunderland, on 11 October 2005, at 2.00 pm, or as near to that hour as the business of the Court will permit, for an Order to stop up a certain length of highway in the city of Sunderland in the county of Tyne and Wear being Hardy Square, Southwick, and shown coloured pink on the plan hereinafter referred to. The said plan may be inspected during normal opening hours at: (a) The Reception Desk, City Solicitor, Legal Services, 3rd Floor, Civic Centre, Burdon Road, Sunderland between the hours of 8.30 am and 5.15 pm Monday to Thursday and 8.30 am and 4.45 pm Fridays. (b) Southwick Library, Beaumont Street, Southwick, Sunderland (Monday and Wednesday 9.30 am to 12.30 pm and 1.30 pm to 7.30 pm, Tuesday and Friday 9.30 am to 12.30 pm and 1.30 pm to 5.00 pm and Saturday 9.00 am to 12.00 noon). Any person who is interested in land abutting on or served by the said length of highway or who uses the said length of highway or is otherwise aggrieved, has the right to be heard when the applications are made at the said Magistrates’ Court on the aforesaid date and time.
