NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR A LICENCE TO ABSTRACT WATER
Take notice that Winn-Darley Farms of the Estate Office, Aldby Park, Buttercrambe, York YO41 1AU, is applying to the Environment Agency, for a licence to abstract water from a borehole constructed in the Sherwood sandstone at National Grid Ref SE 7207 5940 for use at Woodhouse Farm, Bossall, in the parish of Buttercrambe with Bossall, within the Ryedale district of North Yorkshire. The proposal is to abstract water at the following rates: 90 cubic metres per hour, 1,800 cubic metres per day, 32,000 cubic metres between April and September each year. The water will be used for spray irrigation. This application seeks to replace an existing time limited licence and includes a reduction in the annual quantity currently authorised to be abstracted. A copy of the application and any map, plans and other documents submitted with it may be inspected, free of charge, at all reasonable hours at the Estate Office, Aldby Park, Buttercrambe, between 18 August 2005 and 16 September 2005. Any person who wishes to make representations about the application should do so in writing to the Environment Agency, Licensing Section, Dales Area, Coverdale House, Aviator Court, Clifton Moor, York YO30 4GZ, before the end of the said period, quoting the name of the applicant.
