NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR A LICENCE TO ABSTRACT WATER

Take notice that Schwier Farms Ltd, of Nether Hall, Moreton, Ongar, Essex CM5 0JA, is applying to the Environment Agency for a licence to abstract water from Cripsey Brook between National Grid Refs TL 536068 and TL 540065, Moreton parish, Epping Forest district, Essex. The proposal is to abstract 91 cubic metres per hour, 2,184 cubic metres per day and up to 91,000 cubic metres between November and March each year to fill and maintain levels in reservoirs for subsequent spray irrigation. The application is to replace the existing Licence Serial No 8/37/52/31 which is due to expire on 31 December 2005. There will be no changes to the authorised quantities of abstraction. A copy of the application and any map, plan or other document submitted with it may be inspected, free of charge, at all reasonable hours at Nether Hall, Moreton, Ongar between 12 August 2005 and 9 September 2005. Any person who wishes to make representations about the application should do so in writing to Water Resources Regulation, Environment Agency, Apollo Court, 2 Bishop Square Business Park, St Albans Road West, Hatfield AL10 9EX before the end of the said period, quoting the name of the applicant.
