ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
THE A46 TRUNK ROAD (ASHCHURCH, GLOUCESTERSHIRE) (RESTRICTION) ORDER 2005
The Secretary of State for Transport hereby gives notice that he has made an Order, under sections 82(2), 83(1) and 84(1)(a) and (2) of, and paragraph 27(1) of Schedule 9 to, the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, on the A46 Trunk Road at Ashchurch in the county of Gloucestershire. The effect of the Order, which comes into force on 20 June 2005, will be to impose a 30 miles per hour speed limit on the A46 from a point 75 metres west of its junction with Northway Lane to a point 106 metres east of its junction with Fitzhamon Park. There is currently a temporary 30 miles per hour speed limit in force; this Order will make that permanent. A copy of the made Order, together with plans illustrating the proposals, a copy of the Order to be varied and a statement of the Secretary of State’s reasons for making the Order may be inspected during opening hours at Gloucestershire County Council, Shire Hall, Bearland, Gloucester; Tewkesbury Borough Council, Council Offices, Gloucester Road, Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire or may be seen at or obtained by application to the Highways Agency, Traffic Operations Orders Team, Broadway, Broad Street, Birmingham B15 1BL.
