THE A3205 LOCAL ROAD (WANDSWORTH) RED ROUTE (CLEARWAY) TRAFFIC ORDER 1999 VARIATION ORDER 2005
1. Transport for London hereby gives notice that on 7 June 2005 it has made the above-named Orders under section 6 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. 2. The A217 and A3205 GLA Roads (Wandsworth) (Bus Priority) Experimental Traffic Order 2004, the A3205 Local Road (Wandsworth) Red Route Traffic Order 1999 Experimental Variation Order 2004, the A3205 Local Road (Wandsworth) Red Route (Side Roads) Traffic Order 1999 Experimental Variation Order 2004 and the A3205 Local Road (Wandsworth) Red Route (Clearway) Traffic Order 1999 Experimental Variation Order 2004 (“the experimental Orders”) were made under section 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and came into force on 18 August 2004. 3. Transport for London has carefully considered whether or not the provisions of the experimental Orders should be continued indefinitely and has decided that they should be so continued. 4. Therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred on Local Authorities by section 6 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, and in accordance with regulation 23 of the Local Authorities’ Traffic Orders (Procedure) (England and Wales) Regulations 1996, Transport for London has made the A217 and A3205 GLA Roads (Wandsworth) (Bus Priority) Traffic Order 2005, the A3205 Local Road (Wandsworth) Red Route Traffic Order 1999 Variation Order 2005, the A3205 Local Road (Wandsworth) Red Route (Side Roads) Traffic Order 1999 Variation Order 2005 and the A3205 Local Road (Wandsworth) Red Route (Clearway) Traffic Order 1999 Variation Order 2005 (“the permanent Orders”). These Orders will come into force on 17 June 2005, and the effect of these Orders will be to continue in force indefinitely the provisions of the experimental Orders. 5. The roads affected by the permanent Orders are A217 Bridgend Road, Wandsworth Bridge Roundabout, A217 Swandon Way and A3205 York Road. 6. A copy of the permanent Orders, a map indicating the location and effect of the Orders and a copy of the experimental Orders can be inspected, during normal office hours, at the offices of: Transport for London, Street Management, Performance Team (South) Traffic Orders, 84 Eccleston Square, London SW1V 1LP; and London Borough of Wandsworth, Town Hall, High Street, Wandsworth, London SW18 2PU. 7. Any person desiring to question the validity of the permanent Orders or of any of their provisions on the grounds that they are not within the relevant powers conferred by the Act, or that any requirement of the Act has not been complied with, that person may, within 6 weeks from the date on which these Orders are made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.
