Notice is hereby given that the Council of the London Borough of Camden propose to make the above-mentioned Orders under sections 6, 45, 46, 49 and 124 of, and Part IV of Schedule 9 to, the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Local Government Act 1985 and the Road Traffic Act 1991. The general nature and effect of the Orders will be: (i) to amend the existing single and double yellow lines waiting and loading restrictions in the entire length of Kentish Town Road (between its junctions with Falkland Road and Hawley Road) and all of the adjoining side streets along that length; (ii) it is proposed to simplify and reduce the many different operating times of loading controls to the following five different types as shown on the plan: No loading at any time No loading, Monday to Friday, 7.00 am to 10.00 am, 4.00 pm to 7.00 pm No loading, Monday to Friday, 7.00 am to 10.00 am, 4.00 pm to 7.00 pm; Saturday, 10.00 am to 7.00 pm Loading only, Monday to Friday, 7.00 am to 7.00 pm No loading controls (iii) In Castle Road it is proposed to create seven shared-use pay and display and residents’ bays by reallocating four existing residents’ spaces and three pay and display parking bays. (iv) A total of 11 new pay and display bays have been recommended in and around Kentish Town Road, none of which will result in the loss of residents’ parking. These are proposed in the following locations: 1 in Falkland Road 3 in Kentish Town Road opposite Kentish Town Underground Station 1 in Patshull Road 4 in Kentish Town Road just south of Patshull Road 2 in Kelly Street

The general nature and effect of the (CA-M) Order will be to: (i) amend and redesignate the three existing pay and display parking places in Kentish Town Road and increase the times of operation to 7.00 am to 7.00 pm, Monday to Friday inclusive, for two of those bays, leaving the remaining bay to operate off-peak 10.00 am to 4.00 pm, Monday to Friday; (ii) to introduce a new pay and display parking space in Patshull Road to operate between 8.30 am and 6.30 pm, Monday to Friday inclusive; (iii) to introduce a new disabled (blue badge holders) parking space in Patshull Road; (iv) to reduce the existing pay and display parking place by one space in Ospringe Road to accommodate the new car club bay; (v) to increase the residents’ parking places by one space in both Falkland Road and Mortimer Terrace to account for the loss of a doctors’ and a disabled bay in those roads respectively; and (vi) to move the boundary of the (CA-M) Zone to the west side of Kentish Town Road to include Nos 163 to 187, previously in the (CA-F) Zone. The general nature and effect of the (CA-F) Order will be: (vii) to reduce the existing resident parking places by one space in Kelly Street to accommodate the new car club bay; (viii) to convert the three existing residents’ parking places in Clarence Way to resident/business permit holders and introduce a new resident/business bay in Castlehaven Road; and (ix) to exclude Nos 163 to 187 Kentish Town Road, previously in the (CA-F) Zone to account for the boundary of the (CA-M) Zone moving to the west side of Kentish Town Road. A copy of the proposed Orders, a plan (drawing No SP CA-M 21) and the Council’s statement of reasons for proposing to make the Orders may be inspected/obtained at the Environment Reception Desk, Fifth Floor, Camden Town Hall, Argyle Street Entrance, London WC1H 8EQ. Any person wishing to object or make representations to the proposed Orders, should send a statement in writing, stating the grounds thereof of any objection to the Director of Environment Department, Camden Town Hall, Argyle Street Entrance, London WC1H 8EQ, to reach this Department by 1 July 2005, within 21 days from the date on which this notice is published.
