THE LONDON BOROUGH OF SOUTHWARK (WAITING AND LOADING RESTRICTIONS) TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT ORDER 2005/037
PROPOSAL TO MAKE TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT ORDER
1.Notice is hereby given that the Council of the London Borough of Southwark proposes to make the above-mentioned Order under sections 6 and 124 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended by the Local Government Act 1985 and of all other powers thereunto. 2.The general effect of the Order is to make the proposed parking conditions permanent. 3. Nothing specified in Article 2 of this Order shall apply to: an ambulance, fire brigade or police purposes; anything done in accordance with any restriction or requirement indicated by traffic signs placed on the highway by or on behalf of the Metropolitan Police; it being used with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or a traffic warden; the service of a local authority for the purpose of collecting refuse; the pursuance of any statutory duty of the Post Office for the purpose of collecting or delivering letters provided the vehicle bears the Royal Mail livery. 4.The general effect of this Order will be: (a)Waiting and loading restrictions for defined lengths of: Crawthew Grove and Frogley Road. (b)Short stay spaces for defined lengths of: Lordship Lane, Ashbourne Grove and Chesterfield Grove. (c)Designated loading area for defined lengths of: Lordship Lane. 5.A copy of the Order and relevant Schedules to which the Order relate can be inspected during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays inclusive within 21 days from the date this notice is advertised, at Southwark Regeneration and Environmental Department, Council Offices, Chiltern House, Portland Street, London SE17 2ES. 6.Further information and a copy of the Order may be obtained from the Transport Group, Southwark Regeneration and Environmental Department, Council Offices, Chiltern House, Portland Street, London SE17 2ES, tel no 020 7525 5685.
