THE GREENWICH (FREE PARKING PLACES) (DISABLED PERSONS) (AMENDMENT NO) ORDER 200

1.Notice is hereby given that Greenwich Council, hereinafter called the Council, propose to make the above-mentioned Orders under sections 6 and 124 of, and Part IV of Schedule 9 to, the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended. 2.The general effect of the Waiting and Loading Restriction Order would be to impose waiting restrictions operative at any time on the lengths of streets specified in Schedule 1 to this notice. 3.The general effect of the Disabled Persons Parking Places Order would be to: (a)designate disabled persons parking places, on the lengths of streets specified in Schedule 2 to this notice, in which vehicles displaying a valid disabled persons badge may be left. (b)remove the disabled persons parking places, specified in Schedule 3 to this notice. 4.Persons having a query concerning the proposals should contact Greenwich Transportation and Highways on 020-89216024. 5.Copies of the proposed Orders, the Orders being amended and the Council’s statement of reasons for proposing to make the Orders together with plans showing the locations and effects of the Orders can be inspected, during normal office hours, on Mondays to Fridays inclusive, until the end of 6 weeks from the date on which the Orders are made or as the case may be, the Council decides not to make the Orders, at Greenwich Transportation and Highways, Strategic Planning Department, Greenwich Council, Peggy Middleton House, 50Woolwich New Road, Woolwich SE18 6HQ. Copies of the proposed Orders can be inspected at all local libraries. 6.Persons desiring to object to the proposed Orders or make other representation should send a statement in writing of their objection and the grounds thereof, or of their representation to the Councils’ Agents, TMO Services, 4 Snell Gardens, Herne Bay, Kent CT6 7SU, quoting RefLBG/2247, to arrive by 22 June 2005. 7.Persons objecting to the proposed Orders should be aware that in view of the Local Government (Access to Information) Act 1985, this Council would be legally obliged to make any comments received in response to this notice, open to public inspection. Schedule 1 Edge Hill, the south side, between a point 10 metres west of its southernmost junction with Herbert Road and a point opposite the eastern boundary wall of Nos 34 and 36 Edge Hill. Greening Street, the west side, between a point 10 metres north of the north-western kerbline of McLeod Road and a point 12 metres south of the south-eastern kerbline of McLeod Road. McLeod Road (a)both sides, between a point 10 metres north-east of the eastern kerbline of Shieldhall Street and a point 10 metres south-west of the western kerbline of Shieldhall Street; (b)the north-west side, between the western kerbline of Greening Street and a point 17 metres south-west of that kerbline; (c)the south-east side, between the western kerbline of Greening Street and a point 10 metres south-west of that kerbline. Shieldhall Street, both sides, between a point 10 metres north of northern kerbline of McLeod Road and a point 10 metres south of the southern kerbline of McLeod Road. Schedule 2 Vernham Road, the west side, from the common boundary of Nos 69 and 71 Vernham Road extending southward for a distance of 6 metres. Wernbrook Street, the north side, from the common boundary of Nos 51 and 53 Wernbrook Street extending eastward for a distance of 6 metres. Schedule 3 The bays adjacent to: 1 a Abbey Road, 56 Flaxton Road, 8 Oakmere Road and 123 Tewson Road. 1 June 2005.
