TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1990

THE STOPPING-UP OF HIGHWAYS (LAND ADJOINING CLARIANT CHEMICALS, LLANTWIT FARDRE, RHONDDA CYNON TAF) ORDER 2005

Notice is hereby given that the Minister for Economic Development and Transport, acting on behalf of the National Assembly for Wales, has made an Order under section 247 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990, to authorise the stopping-up of the length of highway described in Schedule 1 to this notice. The stopping-up is authorised only in order to enable the development described in Schedule 2 to this notice to be carried out in accordance with planning permission granted by Rhondda Cynon Taf County Borough Council on 1 October 2003, under Ref 02/1958/10. The Order will cease to have effect upon the cessation of the planning permission. Copies of the Order and the deposited plan may be inspected, free of charge, during normal office hours, at Rhondda Cynon Taf County Borough Council Offices, Sardis House, Sardis Road, Pontypridd, or may be obtained, free of charge, from the address below, quoting the Welsh Assembly Government’s Ref CZ510-5-58-14. If any person desires to question the validity of the Order, or of any of the provisions contained therein, on the grounds: (a) that it is not within the powers of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990; or (b) that their interests have been substantially prejudiced by a failure to comply with any of the requirements of the Act, they may, within 6 weeks of 25 May 2005, apply to the High Court for the suspension or quashing of the Order or of any provision contained therein. Schedule 2 Description of the proposed development A neighbourhood centre comprising of a GP surgery, retail shop unit with surgery and offices above and a car park.
