NOTICE FOR APPLICATION FOR A LICENCE TO ABSTRACT WATER

Take notice that Dales Water Services Ltd, Witherick Lane, Melmerby, Ripon, North Yorkshire HG4 5JB, on behalf of D J Broady Ltd, Foster Street, Recycling Centre, Hull, East Yorkshire HU8 8BT, is applying to the Environment Agency for a licence to abstract water from a borehole in the chalk at National Grid Ref TA 0998 3043, at Foster Street Recycling Centre, Hull, East Yorkshire HU8 8BT. The proposal is to abstract water at the following rates: 20 cubic metres per hour, 250 cubic metres per day and 70,000 cubic metres per year. The water will be used for dust suppression, composting, aggregate washing and concrete production at Foster Street Recycling Centre. A copy of the application and of any map, plans or other documents submitted with it may be inspected, free of charge, at all reasonable hours at D J Broady Ltd, Foster Street Recycling Centre, Hull HU8 8BT, between 20 May 2005 and 20 June 2005. Any person who wishes to make representations about the application should do so in writing to the Environment Agency, North East Region, Phoenix House, Global Avenue, Leeds LS11 8PG, before the end of the said period.
