THE A11 TRUNK ROAD (ATTLEBOROUGH BYPASS IMPROVEMENT) SUPPLEMENTARY COMPULSORY PURCHASE ORDER (MP NO 20) 2005

Notice is hereby given that the Secretary of State for Transport in exercise of the powers conferred on him by the above-mentioned Acts has on 29 April 2005, made Compulsory Purchase Orders, entitled as above, authorising him to purchase compulsorily: (a);the land and rights described in the Schedule 1 hereto for the purpose of: (i);the construction of a new trunk road at Attleborough in the District of Breckland in the County of Norfolk in pursuance of the A11 Trunk Road (Attleborough Bypass Improvement) Slip Roads Order 2005; (ii);the construction and improvement of highways and the provision of new means of access to premises at Attleborough in the said District and County in pursuance of the A11 Trunk Road (Attleborough Bypass Improvement) Side Roads Order 2005; (iii);the construction and improvement of highways and the provision of new means of access to premises at Attleborough in the District of Breckland in the County of Norfolk in pursuance of the A11 Trunk Road (Attleborough Bypass Improvement) Supplementary Side Roads Order 2005; (iv);use by the Secretary of State in connection with such construction and improvement of highways and the execution of other works mentioned above; (b);the land and rights described in Schedule 2 hereto for the purpose of mitigating any adverse effect which the existence or use of the highway proposed to be constructed or improved by him as mentioned above will have on the surroundings thereof. Copies of the made Compulsory Purchase Orders and of the plans referred to in them, together with copies of the published Slip Roads Order and Side Roads Orders (both with their accompanying plans), have been deposited and may be seen at all reasonable hours from 19 May 2005 to 30 June 2005, at the offices of the Highways Agency, Major Projects Division, Heron House, 49-53 Goldington Road, Bedford MK40 3LL; and at the offices of Norfolk County Council, Planning and Transportation Reception, 3rd Floor, County Hall, Martineau Lane, Norwich, Norfolk NR1 2SG; Breckland District Council, Breckland House, 86 Nicholas Street, Thetford, Norfolk IP24 1BT; Breckland District Council, Attleborough Presence Office, Bush House, Queens Square, Attleborough, Norfolk NR17 2AF; Attleborough Town Council, The Pines, Connaught Road, Attleborough, Norfolk NR17 2BP; Attleborough Library, 31 Connaught Road, Attleborough, Norfolk NR17 2BW; Attleborough Post Office, High Street, Attleborough, Norfolk NR17 2AA. The Orders as made become operative on the date on which this notice is first published, but a person aggrieved by either of the Orders may, by application to the High Court within 6 weeks from the operative date, question its validity on the grounds: (i);that the authorisation granted by the Order is not empowered to be granted, or (ii);that his or her interests have been substantially prejudiced by failure to comply with any statutory requirement relating to that Order.
