THE EALING (SOUTHALL AREA 1) (RESIDENTS PARKING PLACES) (AMENDMENT NO 1) ORDER 2005

Notice is hereby given that the London Borough of Ealing Council, on 28 April 2005, made the above-mentioned Orders under sections 45, 46, 49 and 124 of, and Part IV of Schedule 9 to, the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Local Government Act 1985, so as to continue in force the provisions of the Ealing (Parking Places) (Pay and Display) (Southall Area 1) Experimental Traffic Order 2003, as amended by the Ealing (Southall Area 1) (Residents Parking Places) (Amendment No 1) Experimental Order 2004 and the Ealing (Parking Places) (Pay and Display) (Southall Area 1) Experimental Traffic Order 2004 (Amendment No 1) Experimental Order 2004. 1. The general effect of the Orders will be: (a) to provide for 2 hour “pay and display” only parking places operating between the hours of 10.00 am and 6.30 pm on Mondays to Saturdays inclusive and 2.00 pm and 6.30 pm on Sundays in lengths of Abbotts Road, Alexandra Avenue, Hambrough Road, Oswald Road and Saxon Road; (b) convert certain 2 hour pay and display parking places to residents parking places in Abbotts Road and in Oswald Road; (c) extend the length of the residents parking places on both sides of Alexandra Avenue and thereby shorten the length of the 2 hour pay and display parking on each side; (d) extend the length of the residents parking place on the east side of Hambrough Road, and thereby shorten the length of the 2 hour pay and display parking; (e) convert the 2 hour pay and display parking place on the east side of Saxon Road, to residents parking and to extend the residents parking place on this side; and (f) extend the length of the residents parking place on the west side of Saxon Road. 2. The charges for parking in the 2 hour “pay and display” parking places referred to in paragraph 2 will be from 20p for each 20 minutes (minimum 20p) to £1.20 for 2 hours (maximum). 3. The Orders, which will come into force on 1 May 2005, and other documents giving more detailed particulars of the Orders, will be available for inspection between 9.00 am and 5.00 pm on Monday to Fridays inclusive at Mouchel Parkman, 22-24 Uxbridge Road, Ealing, London W5 2BP, until 9 June 2005. 4. Any person desiring to question the validity of the Orders or of any provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or that any relevant requirements thereof or any relevant regulations made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the Orders may make application for the purpose to the High Court by 9 June 2005.
