STOPPING-UP OF UNNAMED FOOTPATH AND HIGHWAY VERGE AT GLENDALE AVENUE, WHICKHAM

Notice is hereby given that the Borough Council of Gateshead intend to apply to the Gateshead Petty Sessional Division sitting at the Magistrates’ Court, Warwick Street, Gateshead, on 8 March 2005, at 2.00 pm approximately, for an order authorising the stopping-up of an unnamed footpath and a section of highway verge at Glendale Avenue, Whickham, Gateshead described in the Schedule to this notice as being unnecessary for highway purposes. A plan showing the footpath and highway verge to be stopped up is deposited at the office of the Strategic Director Legal and Corporate Services, Gateshead Council, Civic Centre, Regent Street, Gateshead, and may be inspected during normal office hours. On the hearing of the application any person who would be aggrieved by the making of the order shall have the right to be heard. Schedule 1. The unnamed footpath commences from a point 4.5 metres west of the north-west boundary of the property known as 15 Glendale Avenue and proceeds in an easterly direction for a distance of approximately 18.2 metres at a width of 1.6 metres. 2. The section of highway verge is a triangular area containing an area of 26 square metres lying to the north and adjacent of the footpath described in item 1 above at its western end. 8 February 2005.
