DEVONSHIRE ROW—PEDESTRIANISATION
GOUGH SQUARE—DISABLED PERSONS’ BAYS

1. Notice is hereby given that the Common Council of the City of London proposes to make orders under section 6 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
2. The effect of the orders would be to:

(a) close Devonshire Row to motor vehicles between 8.00 am and 6.00 pm on Mondays to Fridays (Bank Holidays excluded). The proposals are in connection with a street improvement scheme;
(b) revoke the designation of a disabled person’s parking place in East Harding Street; and
(c) designate a disabled person’s parking place consisting of two bays on the south side of Gough Square. The bay would be, free of charge, and available for City “Red” badge holders at any time. Other badge holders would be subject to a three-hour maximum stay.

3. A copy of the proposed orders, of the Common Council’s statement of reasons for proposing to make the Orders and of a plan showing the affected streets can be inspected during normal office hours on Monday to Fridays within a period of 21 days from the date on which this notice is published in the Department of Planning and Transportation, Guildhall, London EC2P 2EJ.

5. Persons desiring to object to the proposed measures should send a statement of their objection and the grounds thereof to the Director of Planning and Transportation at the above address within the aforementioned period of 21 days quoting Ref P&T/TRAF/PA.
