NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR A LICENCE TO ABSTRACT WATER
Take notice that Pike Fold Golf Club, of Hills Lane, Unsworth, Bury BL9 8QP, is applying
to the Environment Agency for a licence to abstract water from a borehole, at National
Grid Ref SD 8260 0698, at Pike Fold Golf Club, at Hills Lane, Unsworth, Bury BL9 8QP.
The proposal is to abstract water at the following rates: 12 cubic metres per hour,
120 cubic metres per day, 10,000 cubic metres per year, between January and December
each year. The water will be used for irrigating the golf course.
A copy of the application and any map, plans and other documents submitted with it
may be inspected, free of charge, at all reasonable hours at Pike Fold Golf Club,
Hills Lane, Unsworth, Bury BL9 8QP, between 1 February 2005 and 1 March 2005.
Any person who wishes to make representations about the application should do so
in writing to the Environment Agency, Appleton House, 430 Birchwood Boulevard, Birchwood,
Warrington, before the end of the said period.
