THE SUTTON (PROHIBITION OF STOPPING OUTSIDE AMBULANCE STATIONS) (NO ) ORDER 200  (REF AC482)
RELATING TO DORSET ROAD AND WIGMORE ROAD, SUTTON

1. Notice is hereby given that the Council of the London Borough of Sutton proposes to make the above-mentioned Orders under sections 6 and 124 of, and Part IV of Schedule 9 to, the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Local Government Act 1985 and the Road Traffic Act 1991. 2. The principal objective of: (a) The Sutton (Prohibition of Stopping Outside Schools) (No ) (Amendment No ) Order 200  is to help safeguard pedestrians using the entrance to Carshalton High School for Boys in Wigmore Road, Sutton; and (b) The Sutton (Prohibition of Stopping Outside Ambulance Stations) (No ) Order 200  is to prevent obstructive parking and improve access to the ambulance station in Dorset Road, Sutton. 3. The general effect of The Sutton (Prohibition of Stopping Outside Schools) (No ) (Amendment No ) Order 200  will be to introduce a mandatory school clearway “no stopping between 8.00 am to 9.30 am and 2.30 pm to 4.00 pm on Mondays to Fridays inclusive during school term time” outside Carshalton High School for Boys in Wigmore Road, Sutton (Order Ref SC481). 4. The general effect of The Sutton (Prohibition of Stopping Outside Ambulance Stations) (No ) Order 200  will be to introduce a mandatory clearway “no stopping at any time” outside the ambulance station in Dorset Road, Sutton (Order Ref AC482). 5. Full details of the proposals are contained in the following documents: (a) the draft Orders; (b) the Council’s statements of reasons for proposing to make the Orders; and (c) plans showing the locations and effects of the proposals. These may be examined at Civic Offices, St Nicholas Way, Sutton, 9.00 am to 5.00 pm Monday to Friday; and Environment and Leisure, 24 Denmark Road, Carshalton, 9.00 am to 5.00 pm Monday to Friday. 6. Further information may be obtained by telephoning Highways Projects on 020 8770 6445. 7. If you wish to object to the proposed Orders you should send a statement in writing including the grounds for your objection and quoting the relevant reference to the address in the following paragraph by Wednesday 2 February 2005. 8. Please address your letter to Planning, Transport and Highways, Highways Projects, London Borough of Sutton, 24 Denmark Road, Carshalton, Surrey SM5 2JG. 9. Persons objecting to the proposed Orders should be made aware that in view of the Local Government (Access to Information) Act 1985, this Council would be legally obliged to make any comments received in response to this notice, open to public inspection, if requested.
