NEW ROADS AND STREET WORKS ACT 1991, SECTION 58

NOTICE OF SUBSTANTIAL ROAD WORKS

1. Three months advance notice is hereby given that Kirklees Metropolitan Council, Highways Service intends to carry out substantial road works. 2. The streets in which these works will take place are: (1) A62 Leeds Road; (2) A6107 Bradley Road; (3) B6118 Colne Bridge Road, Bradley, Huddersfield. 3. Work is expected to affect the carriageway/footway between: (1) from no 1259 to the River Calder; (2) A62 Leeds Road to Upper Quarry Road; (3) A62 Leeds Road to the roundabout. 4. Work is expected to commence on 8 April 2005. (Work should begin within one month of this date.) 5. The works notified will include the following: junction improvement works—carriageway widening. 6. Subject to the exemptions in the Act and Regulations under it, no street works may be executed for a period of 12 months from the completion of the works described in Paragraph 5 without the consent of the said Highway Authority, which shall not be unreasonably withheld.
