THE A63 TRUNK ROAD (LEEDS ROAD, SELBY)

THE A1041 TRUNK ROAD (BAWTRY ROAD, SELBY) AND THE A19 TRUNK ROAD (BARLBY ROAD, SELBY) (TEMPORARY 40 MILES PER HOUR SPEED RESTRICTION) REVOCATION

Notice is hereby given that the Secretary of State for Transport intends to make an Order on the A63 Trunk Road, the A1041 Trunk Road and the A19 Trunk Road, in the district of Selby, under sections 14(1)(a) and 15(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order would be to revoke the A63 Trunk Road (Leeds Road, Selby), the A1041 Trunk Road (Bawtry Road, Selby) and the A19 Trunk Road (Barlby Road, Selby) (Temporary 40 Miles Per Hour Speed Restriction) Order 2002, which authorised the temporary 40 miles per hour speed restriction on: (i) the A63 from 140 metres west of its junction with Morrets Lane to 130 metres west of its junction with Fir Tree Lane; (ii) the A1041 from 50 metres south of its junction with Abbot’s Road to its junction with Thief Lane; and (iii) the A19 from 50 metres north of its junction with West View Roundabout to 550 metres further north on the A19. This restriction is no longer required now that the associated A63 Selby Bypass works have been completed. The Revocation will come into force on Friday 18 June 2004.
