NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR A LICENCE TO ABSTRACT WATER

Take notice that Middleton Aggregates Ltd, of Mill Drove, Blackborough End, King’s Lynn, Norfolk PE32 1SW, is applying to the Environment Agency for a licence to abstract water from Sands and Gravels at National Grid Ref TF 689 127 at Pentney Quarry, Pentney, Norfolk. The proposal is to abstract water at the following rates: 400 cubic metres per hour; 4,000 cubic metres per day; 1,000,000 cubic metres per year, all year. The water will be used for mineral washing. A copy of the application and any map, plans and other documents submitted with it may be inspected, free of charge, at all reasonable hours at Company Offices, Middleton Aggregates Ltd, of Mill Drove, Blackborough End, King’s Lynn, Norfolk PE32 1SW, between 22 September 2004 and 22 October 2004. Any person wishing to make representations about the application should do so in writing to the Environment Agency, Bromholme Lane, Brampton, Huntingdon PE28 4NE, before the end of the said period, quoting the name of the applicant.
