NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR CONSENT FOR THE PURPOSES OF SECTION 88

Notice is hereby given, in accordance with Schedule 10 of the Water Resources Act 1991 (as amended by the Environment Act 1995) that an application has been made to the Environment Agency by Yorkshire Water Services Limited, Western House, Halifax Road, Bradford BD6 2SZ, for consent to discharge sewage effluent from Naburn Waste Water Treatment Works, York, North Yorkshire, into the River Ouse, at National Grid Ref SE 6009 4715. The application has been made to enable the temporary use (November 2004 to March 2005) of aluminium chloride dosing to aid the performance of the treatment processes at the works. Any person who wishes to make representations or objections with respect to the application should do so in writing, quoting Ref 27/24/0124, to the Environment Agency, Coverdale House, Aviator Court, Amy Johnson Way, Clifton Moor, York YO30 4GZ, for the attention of Peter Baker, not later than Friday 24 September 2004. The application and the public consent register may be inspected, free of charge, at the above local Environment Agency office on weekdays, between 9.00 am and 5.00 pm.
