ACACIA ROAD, ALBERTA ROAD, HIGH STREET PONDERS END, HUXLEY ROAD, LAVENDER GARDENS, NELSON ROAD, SOUTHBURY AVENUE, SUFFOLK ROAD, WARWICK ROAD AND WELLINGTON AVENUE—REVOKED DISABLED PERSONS’ PARKING PLACES

Notice is hereby given that the Council of the London Borough of Enfield, on 9 August 2004, made the Enfield (Free Parking Places) (Disabled Persons) (Special Parking Area) (No 3) Order 2004 under sections 6 and 124 of, and Part IV of Schedule 9 to, the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Local Government Act 1985 and the Road Traffic Act 1991. 2. The general effect of the Order will be to: (a) revoke the designation of certain disabled persons’ parking places in Acacia Road, Alberta Road, High Street Ponders End, Huxley Road, Lavender Gardens, Nelson Road, Southbury Avenue, Suffolk Road, Warwick Road and Wellington Avenue; (b) designate disabled persons’ parking places in Beale Close, Belsize Avenue, Burlington Road, Glenville Avenue, Hammond Road, Hester Road, Hydefield Court, Jeremys Green, John Street, Lancaster Road, Lightcliffe Road, Mayfield Crescent, Orchard Crescent, Oxford Road, Pretoria Road North, St Edmunds Road, Sheldon Road, Tottenhall Road and Warwick Road, in which vehicles authorised by the Order may be left for any period during the permitted hours without charge; (c) specify that disabled persons’ vehicles displaying in the relevant position a valid disabled person’s badge (“Blue Badge”) issued by any local authority may be left in those parking places: and (d) provide that certain other vehicles may wait in the parking places in certain circumstances, eg to allow persons to board or alight (maximum of 20 minutes), etc. 3. A copy of the Order, which will come into operation on 6 September 2004, and other relevant documents can be inspected at the Reception Desk, “B” Block, the Civic Centre, Silver Street, Enfield, Middlesex EN1 3XD, during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays inclusive until the end of 6 weeks from the date on which the Order was made. 4. Copies of the Order may be obtained from Traffic and Transportation, The Civic Centre, Silver Street, Enfield, Middlesex EN1 3XD. 5. Any person desiring to question the validity of the Order or of any provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or that any of the relevant requirements thereof or of any relevant regulations made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the Order may, within 6 weeks of the date on which the Order was made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.
