WATER RESOURCES ACT 1991, AS AMENDED BY THE ENVIRONMENT ACT 1995 SCHEDULE 10

NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR CONSENT FOR THE PURPOSES OF SECTION 88

Notice is hereby given, in accordance with Schedule 10 of the Water Resources Act 1991, that an application has been made to the Environment Agency by Linden Homes, for consent to discharge 9.9 cubic metres per day of sewage effluent from Hales Yard, Springwell Lane, Harefield, Middlesex, to the River Colne at National Grid Ref TQ 0430 9306.
Details of the proposal are contained in the register held by the Agency at its Thames Region, North East Area office in Hatfield. The register is held at Apollo Court, 2 Bishops Square Business Park, St Albans Road West, Hatfield, Hertfordshire, and may be inspected, free of charge, from 9.30 am to 4.30 pm, Monday to Friday inclusive. Enquiries by telephone (contact (01707) 632301) may be made between the hours of 9.00 am and 5.00 pm, Monday to Friday inclusive.
Any person who wishes to make representations or objections with respect to the application should do so in writing, to the Regulatory (Water Quality) Team Leader, Environment Agency, Apollo Court, 2 Bishops Square Business Park, Hatfield, Hertfordshire AL10 9EX, quoting N/WR0753, not later than 28 July 2004.
The Environment Agency is committed to maintaining and, where possible, improving water quality. If, after full consideration of this application and any representations made by interested parties, it is decided that consent can be given, then conditions will be imposed to ensure that the effluent receives treatment before discharge to the receiving waters so that the above aims are met.
