APPLICATION FOR A PERMIT

Widnes Galvanising Ltd has applied for a permit from Halton Borough Council to operate a Galvanising process involving coating steel with zinc for protection purposes at Widnes Galvanising Ltd, Fairway House, Ditton Road, Widnes, Cheshire WA8 0NZ. The application contains a description of any foreseeable significant effects of emissions from the installation to the environment. A copy of the application is available for the public to view, free of charge, at the Environment and Development Directorate, Grosvenor House, Halton Lea, Runcorn, Cheshire WA7 2GW. Written representations about the application may be sent to the Environment and Development Directorate, Grosvenor House, Halton Lea, Runcorn, Cheshire WA7 2GW, within 28 days of 2 June 2004.
