THE GREENWICH (PRESCRIBED ROUTES) (NO 123) TRAFFIC ORDER 2004

1. Notice is hereby given that Greenwich Council, hereinafter called the Council, on 19 May 2004, made the above-mentioned Orders under sections 6, 84 and 124 of, and Part IV of Schedule 9 to, the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended. 2. The general effect of the 20 miles per hour zone Order will be to impose a speed limit of 20 miles per hour on the streets or lengths of streets specified in Schedule 1 to this notice. 3. The effect of the waiting and loading Order will be to amend the Greenwich (Waiting and Loading Restriction) Order 1994, so as to impose waiting restrictions operative at any time on the lengths of streets specified in Schedule 2 to this notice. Details of exemptions from the restrictions for certain vehicles and persons, together with restrictions on selling or advertising in a restricted street are contained in the original Order of 1994. 4. The general effect of the prescribed routes Order will be to impose one way working from west to east on the entire length of Granite Street. 5. Copies of the Orders which will come into operation on 24 May 2004, of the Orders being amended and plans showing the locations and effects of the Orders can be inspected during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays inclusive, at Greenwich Strategic Planning, Greenwich Council, Peggy Middleton House, 50 Woolwich New Road, London SE18 6HQ, for 6 weeks following the date the Orders were made and copies of the Orders may be obtained from the same address. 6. Any person desiring to question the validity of the Orders or of any provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or that any relevant requirements thereof or of any relevant regulations made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the Orders may, within 6 weeks of the making of the Orders, make application for the purpose to the High Court. Schedule 1 Bargate Close; Granite Street; Grosmount Road; Heath Villas; Philmore Close; Purrett Road; Quilter Street; Rippolson Road; Riverdale Road; Rockmount Road; Saunders Road; Speranza Street; Spinel Close; Tynemouth Road; and Viewland Road. Schedule 2 Purrett Road, the west side, between a point 10 metres north of the northern kerbline of Saunders Road and a point 10 metres south of the southern kerbline of Saunders Road. Quilter Street, the north-west side, between a point 10 metres north-east of the north-eastern kerbline of Speranza Street and a point 10 metres south-west of the south-western kerbline of Speranza Street. Rippolson Road, both sides, between the northern kerbline of Saunders Road and a point 10 metres north of that kerbline. Riverdale Road: (a) the east side, between a point 10 metres north of the northern kerbline of the east to west arm of Speranza Street and a point 10 metres south of the southern kerbline of the east to west arm of Speranza Street; and (b) the north-east side, between the north-western kerbline of the north to south arm of Speranza Street and a point 10 metres north-west of that kerbline. Saunders Road: (a) both sides, between the western kerbline of Purrett Road and a point 10 metres west of that kerbline; (b) the north side, (i) between a point 10 metres east of the eastern kerbline of Rippolson Road and a point 10 metres west of the western kerbline of Rippolson Road; (ii) between the western kerbline of Speranza Street and a point 10 metres west of that kerbline. Speranza Street: (a) the east to west arm; (i) both sides, between the eastern kerbline of Riverdale Road and a point 10 metres east of that kerbline; (ii) both sides, between the western kerbline of Quilter Street and a point 10 metres west of that kerbline; (iii) the south side, between a point 10 metres west of the western kerbline of the north to south arm of Speranza Street and a point 10 metres east of the eastern kerbline of the north to south arm of Speranza Street; (b) the north to south arm; (i) both sides, between the southern kerbline of the east to west arm of Speranza Street and a point 10 metres south of that kerbline; (ii) both sides, between the north-eastern kerbline of Riverdale Road and a point 10 metres north of that kerbline. 19 May 2004.
