PROPOSED INTRODUCTION AND AMENDMENT OF WAITING RESTRICTIONS AND BUS STOP CLEARWAYS IN ASCALON STREET, STEWARTS ROAD AND THESSALY ROAD, LONDON SW8

1. Notice is hereby given that the Council of the London Borough of Wandsworth proposes to make the following Order under sections 6 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Local Government Act 1985 and the Road Traffic Act 1991:

The Wandsworth (Waiting and Loading Restriction) (Special Parking Areas) (Amendment No  ) Order 200 .

2. The general effect of the Order would be to introduce lengths of waiting restrictions operating at any time adjacent to new bus stop clearways which will also operate at any time in the following locations:

Ascalon Street, south-east side, opposite Ascalon House and Wenham House; Stewarts Road, north-east side, outside Woods House, opposite Nos 70 to 74 and outside Nos 251 to 255;
Thessaly Road, south-west side, opposite Jenkins House and the Battersea Social Education Centre and outside Mills House.
The restrictions are required to enable the extension of the P5 bus route from Stockwell to the Patmore Estate.

3. Copies of documents giving more detailed particulars of the proposed Order, including plans showing the location of the bus stop clearways and other restrictions, are available for inspection during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays in The Concourse, The Town Hall, Wandsworth High Street, London SW18 2PU. The documents will remain available until the end of 6 weeks from the date on which the Order is made or, as the case may be, the Council decides not to make the Order.

5. Any person wishing to object to the proposed Order should send a statement in writing of their objection and the grounds on which it is made to the Director of Technical Services at the address below (quoting Ref EDS/PK/TMO639) by 14 May 2004.
