THE TOWER HAMLETS (20 MPH SPEED LIMIT) (NO 6) TRAFFIC ORDER 2004

1. Notice is hereby given that the Council of the London Borough of Tower Hamlets, on 18 March 2004, made the above-mentioned Order under sections 84(1)(a) and (2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Local Government Act 1985 and the Road Traffic Act 1991.
2. The general effect of The Tower Hamlets (20 mph Speed Limit) (No 6) Traffic Order 2004 will be that no person shall drive a motor vehicle at a speed exceeding 20 mph in any of the following streets or lengths of street; Agnes Street; Aston Street, Barnes Street; Blount Street, Brenton Street; Camdenhurst Street; Carbis Street; Carr Street; Chasely Street; Clemence Street; Condor Street; Copenhagen Place; Dalgleish Street; Dora Street; Dupont Street; Durham Row; Elsa Street; Flamborough Street; Halley Street; Locksley Street, between its junction with Clemence Street and a point 15 metres to the south of its junction with St Paul’s Way; Lowell Street; Maroon Street; Matlock Street; Norbiton Street; Parnham Street; Pixley Street; Raby Street; Repton Street; Rhodeswell Road; Salmon Lane, between its junction with Whitehorse Road and a point 15 metres to the north-west of its junction with Commercial Road; Salmon Street; Tomlin’s Terrace; Troon Street; Turner’s Road, between its junction with Rhodeswell Road and a point 15 metres to the south-west of its junction with St Paul’s Way; Wakeling Street; Whitehorse Road; Wilson’s Place; Yorkshire Road; York Square.
3. A copy of the Order which will come into operation on 5 April 2004 can be inspected, by prior appointment, at the offices of Environment and Culture, Traffic and Transportation Section, 60 Southern Grove, London E3 4PN, during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays inclusive, until the expiration of a period of 6 weeks from the date on which the Order was made.
4. Any person desiring to question the validity of the Order or of any provision provided therein on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or that any of the relevant requirements thereof or any relevant regulations made thereunder have not been complied with in relation to the Order, may within 6 weeks of the date on which the Order was made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.
