INTENDED INSTALLATION OF SPEED CUSHIONS (2004/022)
RELATING TO BALFOUR STREET, FARADAY AREA

1. Notice is hereby given that the Council of the London Borough of Southwark, in accordance with the Highways Act 1980 as amended by the Transport Act 1981 and the Traffic Calming Act 1992 and in compliance with the Highways (Road Humps) Regulations, 1996, intend to place speed cushions as listed below: Speed Cushions All speed cushions will be approximately 3.2 metres in length, 1.8 metres wide and 75 mm in height. The approximate speed cushion locations are as follows: Balfour Street: (a) 2 No new speed cushions approximately 24 metres in a south easterly direction from the junction of New Kent Road and Balfour Street; (b) New speed cushion approximately 34 metres in a north westerly direction from the junction of John Maurice Close and Balfour Street; (c) 2 No new speed cushions approximately 17 metres in a north westerly direction from the junction of Henshaw Street and Balfour Street; (d) New speed cushion approximately 22 metres in a south easterly direction from the junction of Henshaw Street and Balfour Street. (e) 2 No new speed cushions approximately 19 metres in a north westerly direction from the junction of Rodney Road and Balfour Street.
