THE HARINGEY (AMBULANCE PARKING PLACES) (NO 1) ORDER 2004
1. Notice is hereby given that the Council of the London Borough of Haringey, hereinafter
called the Council, propose to make the above-mentioned Orders under sections 6, 45,
46, 49 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984,
as amended. 2. The general effect of the Orders would be to create a controlled parking
zone in the Tottenham Hale, London N17 area which would operate between the hours
8.30 am to 6.30 pm on Mondays to Fridays inclusive and which incorporates the streets
or lengths of streets referred to in Schedule 1 to this notice. 3. Residents and business
users whose postal address is indicated in Schedule 1 to this notice may purchase
parking permits and residents may purchase visitors parking permits, for passenger
vehicles, goods carrying vehicles (the overall height of which does not exceed 2.27
metres and the overall length of which does not exceed 5.25 metres) or invalid carriages,
at the rates set out below:

The permits for the controlled parking zone would only be valid in the zone for which
they are issued. The maximum annual entitlement of visitors’ permits would be 240
short stay permits, 12 weekend visitor permits and 2 long stay permits. The maximum
annual entitlement for residents aged 60 would be 480 short stay permits, 24 weekend
visitor permits and 4 long stay permits. 4. The further effects of the Orders would
be to: (a) designate residents parking places, on certain lengths of the streets specified
in Schedule 1 to this notice, operative between 8.30 am and 6.30 pm on Mondays to
Fridays inclusive, where vehicles displaying a valid residents parking permit or a
disabled person’s badge would be permitted to wait without time limit; (b) designate
shared residents and business parking places operative between 8.30 am and 6.30 pm
on Mondays to Fridays inclusive on certain lengths of Circular Road where vehicles
displaying a valid residents parking permit, valid business permit or a disabled person’s
badge may wait without time limit; (c) impose waiting restrictions operative at any
time, on certain lengths of the streets specified in Schedule 2 to this notice; (d) designate
Ambulance parking place operative at any time, on certain length of Mitchley Road.
5. Copies of the Orders, which will come into operation on 15 March 2004 the Orders
being amended, of the Council’s statement of reasons for making the Orders, together
with plans and more detailed particulars showing the locations and effects of the
Orders may be inspected during normal office working hours, until the end of 6 weeks
from the date on which the Orders were made, the Council decides not to make the Orders,
at Hornsey Town Hall, The Broadway, Crouch End, Hornsey, London N8. 6. Any person
desiring to question the validity of the Orders or of any provision contained therein
on the grounds that they are not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation
Act 1984, or that any of the relevant requirements thereof or of any relevant regulations
made thereunder have not been complied with in relation to the Orders may, within
6 weeks of the date on which the Orders were made, make application for the purpose
to the High Court.
