NOTICE OF APPLICATION TO VARY A LICENCE TO ABSTRACT WATER

Take notice that J M Bubb & Son of Pave Lane Farm, Newport, Shropshire TF10 9BB is applying to the Environment Agency to vary Licence Serial Nos 18/54/4/1297/G and 18/54/4/1082/G which authorise the abstraction of water from the underground strata at National Grid Ref SJ 7845 1568 at Lynn South Farm and SJ 7673 1700 at Pave Lane Farm. The variation being applied for is 18/54/4/1297 to renew the time limit, to change the gauging site to Coley Brook, 18/54/4/1082 to increase the hourly rate from 36.4 to 49 cubic metres to increase the daily rate from 276 to 1,176 cubic metres, to increase the annual from 50,000 to 75,000 cubic metres for spray irrigation. The annual quantity on licence 18/54/4/1297 will be reduced by 25,000 cubic metres. There will therefore be no overall annual increase from the groundwater. A copy of the application and any map, plans and other documents submitted with it may be inspected, free of charge, at all reasonable hours at Pave Lane Farm, Newport, Shropshire, between 26 January and 3 March 2004. Any person who wishes to make representations about the application should do so in writing to the Environment Agency, Halfren House, Welshpool Road, Shelton, Shrewsbury SY3 8BB, before the end of the said period, quoting the name of the applicant.
