THE LONDON BOROUGH OF MERTON ESTABLISHMENT OF SPEED TABLES MIDDLETON ROAD
1. The Council of the London Borough of Merton, in exercise of its powers under section
90 a of the Highways Act 1980 (as amended), propose to establish speed tables on Middleton
Road.
2. The speed tables shall be 75 mm in height, a length of 9 metres including ramps,
which are of 1.20 in gradient. The tables are proposed to be located at the following
locations:
(a) Middleton Road, from a point 6.8 metres west of the western kerbline of Malmesbury
Road, west for a distance of 9 metres.
(b) Middleton Road, from a point 1.2 metres west of the eastern party wall of nos
143-145 Middleton Road, westwards for a distance of 9 metres.
3. A plan identifying the area affected and the Council’s statement of reasons for
establishing the road humps may be inspected during normal office hours on Mondays
to Fridays at Merton Link, Merton Civic Centre, London Road, Morden, Surrey.
4. Any person desiring to object to the proposal should send a statement in writing
of their objection and the grounds on which it is based to the Director of Environment
and Regeneration at the Merton Civic Centre, London Road, Morden, Surrey SM4 5DX,
(quoting Ref ES/SGE) no later than 13 February 2004.
