NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR A LICENCE TO ABSTRACT WATER
Take notice that James Stewart and Sheila Anne Hawkins, of Thinghill Court, Withington, Hereford, are applying to the Environment Agency for licences to abstract water from two un-named tributaries of the Little Lugg in Withington, between National Grid Refs (1) SO 5672 4409 and SO 5733 4460, (2) SO 5554 4443 and SO 5664 4419 and (3) SO 5517 4369, at or near Thinghill Court and Cross Keys, Withington, Hereford. The proposal is to extract water at the following rates: at sites (1) and (2): 68 cubic metres per hour, 1,027 cubic metres per day, 22,730 cubic metres per year and at site (3): 13 cubic metres per hour, 312 cubic metres per day, 9,092 cubic metres per year. The water will be used to create three winter storage pools and will be subsequently used from the pools for spray irrigation purposes. A copy of the application and any maps, plans and other documents submitted with it may be inspected, free of charge, at all reasonable hours at Fieldhouse Cottage, Sutton Road, Withington, Hereford HR1 3NL, between 30 October 2003 ands 27 November 2003.
