TRANSFER OF GENERAL BUSINESS—NO 6611 OF 2003

1. Notice is hereby given that Lakewood Insurance Company Limited and RiverStone Insurance (UK) Limited applied to the High Court of Justice on 17 October 2003, for its sanction, pursuant to Part VII of the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000, of a Scheme for the transfer from Lakewood Insurance Company Limited to RiverStone Insurance (UK) Limited of the business written by Lakewood Insurance Company Limited through Sphere Drake Underwriting Management Limited (now known as RiverStone Management Limited). 2. Copies of the Scheme Report and statement setting out the terms of the Scheme and containing a summary of the Scheme Report are available for inspection, Monday to Friday, between 9.30 am and 5.30 pm, until 15 December 2003 at Park Gate, 161-163 Preston Road, Brighton BN1 6AU. 3. The application is directed to be heard before Mr Justice Etherton at the Royal Courts of Justice, Strand, London WC2A 2LL, on 15 December 2003. Any person, (including any employee of Lakewood Insurance Company Limited or RiverStone Insurance (UK) Limited) who claims that he or she would be adversely affected by the Scheme may appear at the time of the hearing in person or by Counsel. Any person who intends so to appear and any policyholder of Lakewood Insurance Company Limited or RiverStone Insurance (UK) Limited who dissents from the Scheme but does not intend so to appear should give not less than two clear days prior notice in writing of such intention or dissent and of the reasons therefore to the Solicitors named below.
