NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR A LICENCE TO ABSTRACT WATER
Take notice that D Pask, of Brandon Nurseries, Brandon Lane, Shadwell, Leeds LS17
9JL, is applying to the Environment Agency for a licence to abstract water from a
borehole in the Millstone Grit at National Grid Ref SE 3474 4097 at Brandon Lane,
Shadwell, in the parish of Scarcroft, Leeds District of West Yorkshire.
The proposal is to abstract water at the following rates: 9.09 cubic metres per hour,
54.54 cubic metres per day, 8,000 cubic metres per year. The water will be used for
spray irrigation. This application seeks to replace Licence Serial No 2/27/20/245,
which expires on 31 December 2003 and includes a reduction in the annual quantity
currently authorised for abstraction.
A copy of the application and any map, plans and other documents submitted with it
may be inspected, free of charge, at all reasonable hours at the above address between
23 October 2003 and 23 November 2003.
Any person who wishes to make representations about the application should do so
in writing to the Environment Agency, Coverdale House, Aviator Court, Clifton Moor,
York YO30 4GZ, before the end of the said period, quoting the name of the applicant.
