ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
THE A100 GLA ROAD (20 MPH SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 2003
1. Transport for London hereby gives notice that on 21 October 2003 it made the above-named
Order under section 84 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The Order comes into
force on 25 October 2003.
2. The general nature and effect of the Order is to impose a speed limit of 20 mph:
(i) between a point in line with the southernmost extremity of the gap in the dividing
strip between St Katharine’s Way and the A100 Tower Bridge Approach and Tower Bridge;
(ii) on Tower Bridge being the length of the A100 which is carried over the River
Thames;
(iii) on the A100 Tower Bridge Road between a point opposite the boundary wall of
208/210 Tower Bridge Road and Tower Bridge.
3. The roads affected by the Order are the A100 Tower Bridge, the A100 Tower Bridge
Approach and the A100 Tower Bridge Road.
4. The lengths of the roads affected are currently subject to a speed limit of 30
mph and 20 mph (varies).
5. A copy of the Order, and a plan indicating the location and effect of the Order
can be inspected, free of charge, during normal office hours for 6 weeks following
the date on which this notice is published at the offices of:

6. Applications to the High Court challenging the legality of the Order should be
made within 6 weeks of the date on which the Order was made.
