NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR A LICENCE TO ABSTRACT WATER
Take notice that Mr Robert Martin, of Gaitsgill Farm, Gaitsgill, Dalston, Carlisle, is applying to the Environment Agency for a licence to abstract water from a borehole at National Grid Ref NY 3872 4667, at Gaitsgill Farm, Gaitsgill, Dalston. The proposal is to abstract water at the following rates: 4 cubic metres per hour, 40 cubic metres per day, 14,000 cubic metres per year. The water will be used for drinking and cooling and wash water for dairy farm. A copy of the application and any map, plans and other documents submitted with it may be inspected, free of charge, at all reasonable hours at Gaitsgill Farm, Gaitsgill, Dalston, between 21 October and 18 November 2003. Any person who wishes to make representations about the application should do so in writing to the Environment Agency, Ghyll Mount, Gillan Way, Penrith, Cumbria CR11 9BP, before the end of the said period.
