Metnor Galvanizing Ltd, whose head office is at Metnor House, Mylord Crescent, Killingworth, Newcastle upon Tyne NE1L 5YD, has applied to Middlesbrough Council for a permit to operate an installation at Cambridge Road, Cargo Fleet, Middlesbrough TS3 8AB, carrying out the following activities: 1. surface treatment of metals and plastic materials using an electrolytic or chemical process where the aggregate volume of the treament vats is more than 30 cubic metres, and 2. applying fused metal coatings with an input of more than 2 tonnes of crude steel per hour. The application contains a description of any forseeable significant effects of emissions from the installation on the environment. The application has been placed on the public register at Middlesbrough Council, Vancouver House, Central Mews, Gurney Street, Middlesbrough TS1 1QP, and can be inspected, free of charge, during normal office hours. Any written comments should be made to Middlesbrough Council within 28 days of the date of this advertisement, and will be placed on the public register unless they include a statement requesting that this is not done. If there is such a request the register itself will include a note that representations have been made which are not on the register because of such a request.
