NOTICE OF APPLICATION TO VARY A LICENCE TO ABSTRACT WATER
Take notice that Romanby Golf Course Ltd, of Yafforth Road, Romanby, Northallerton,
North Yorkshire DL7 0PE, is applying to the Environment Agency to vary Licence Serial
No 2/27/23/524 which authorises the abstraction of water from a borehole in the Sherwood
Sandstone at National Grid Ref SE 3481 9390, for spray irrigation and domestic purposes
at Romanby Golf Course, Yafforth Road, Romanby, Northallerton, in the parish of Romanby,
Hambleton District of North Yorkshire.
The variation being applied for seeks to renew the quantities currently authorised
to be abstracted for spray irrigation which expire on 31 December 2003. No changes
to the quantities are proposed which will remain at 10.22 cubic metres per hour, 69.57
cubic metres per day, 12,270 cubic metres per year. No changes to the quantities currently
authorised for domestic use are proposed.
A copy of the application and any map, plans and other documents submitted with it
may be inspected, free of charge, at all reasonable hours at the above address between
22 August 2003 and 22 September 2003.
Any person who wishes to make representations about the application should do so
in writing to the Environment Agency, Coverdale House, Aviator Court, Clifton Moor,
York YO30 4GZ, before the end of the said period, quoting the name of the applicant.
