NOTICE UNDER SECTION 27 OF THE TRUSTEE ACT 1925

This notice is addressed to former and current employees of Swinton (Holdings) Limited, Swinton Group Limited, Swinton Insurance Brokers Limited, Swinton Aughton (Insurance Brokers) Limited, Swinton C.I.B. Insurance Brokers Limited, Swinton Commercial Insurance Brokers Limited, Swinton General and Life Insurance Brokers Limited, Swinton Goddard Limited, Swinton House Securities Limited, Swinton Insurance Brokers (Ormskirk) Limited, Swinton Insurance Brokers (Urmston) Limited, Swinton Insurance Brokers (Wythenshawe) Limited, Swinton Insurance Brokers (Yorkshire) Limited, Swinton Lunn Limited, Swinton Life & Pensions Limited, Swinton Rescue Services Limited, Swinton Services Limited, Swinton (South) Limited, Countrywide Claims Recovery Limited, Countrywide Car Insurance (Manchester) Limited, Countrywide Insurance Brokers (Manchester) Limited, Losrian Limited, Fletcher’s Travel Agency Limited, Fowden Brothers Limited, G.F. The Swinton Group Employees Pension Scheme (“the Scheme”) is being wound up with effect from 12 June 2003. If you were or are an employee of any of the above-named Companies and a Member of the Scheme, and think you are still entitled to benefits under the Scheme but have not been notified of your benefits, or you are a widow, widower, child or dependant of such an employee, please contact the Trustees of the Swinton Group Employees Pension Scheme, c/o Mercer Human Resource Consulting Limited, Clarence House, Clarence Street, Manchester M2 4DW, You should include details of your current address and any benefits that you think you are entitled to and write not later than 13 October 2003. It is the Trustees’ intention to distribute the assets of the Scheme to provide benefits for its Members, beneficiaries and pensioners as soon as possible. The Trustees will distribute the assets to individuals of whose entitlements they are aware at 13 October 2003 and if they are not aware of your entitlement under the Scheme before that date they will not be liable to pay benefits to you. If you already receive a pension from the Scheme, or you have received a statement of your benefits under the Scheme since 1 April 2003 you do not need to write to the Trustees as they already have full details about your entitlements.
