PUBLIC NOTIFICATION OF AN APPLICATION MADE UNDER SECTION 11 OF THE ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION ACT 1990 PART I
INTEGRATED POLLUTION CONTROL

Notice is hereby given that SembCorp Utilities Teesside Limited, has applied to the Environment Agency for an Integrated Pollution Control (IPC) authorisation to operate a large combustion plant at SembCorp Utilities Power Station, PO Box 1985, Wilton, Middlesbrough, Cleveland TS90 8WS in the borough/district of Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council in the county of Cleveland. Information relating to the IPC application for authorisation to operate the “large combustion plant” process is held in registers at the following locations:

Environment Agency Area Office: Coverdale House, Aviator Court, Amy Johnson Way, Clifton Moor, York YO30 4UZ; and Local Authority: Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council, Mr M Douglas, Environmental Protection/Licensing Manager, Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council Development Department, Belmont House, Rectory Lane, Guisborough TS14 7FD.

Members of the public can inspect these registers, free of charge, at the above-stated addresses during normal office hours. In addition, members of the public who wish to obtain a copy of the relevant information contained in the registers can do so upon the payment of a reasonable charge to cover the costs of copying. Any objections or representations to the above IPC application should be made in writing to the Environment Agency at the address below, within 28 days from the date of this public notice.

Any such objections or representations will be entered into a public register unless the person making them requests that they should not be so placed. If there is such a request, the register will only include a statement that there has been a request. In this case there will be included in the register a statement indicating only that representations have been made which have been the subject of such a request.
