NOTICE OF APPLICATION TO STOP UP HIGHWAY HIGHWAYS ACT 1980, SECTION 116

Take notice that the Southend-on-Sea Borough Council, the Highway Authority, intends to apply to the South East Essex Magistrates’ Court sitting at The Court House, Victoria Avenue, Southend-of-Sea on Monday 8 September 2003, at 11.00 am, for Orders that the following areas of highway in the Borough of Southend-on-Sea, Essex be authorised to be stopped up on the ground that they are unnecessary. An area of highway of approximately 201 square metres at Western Esplanade adjacent to Marine Gardens, Southend-on-Sea. Two areas of highway adjacent to 143 High Street, Southend-on-Sea. The effect of the said Orders are shown in plans which may be inspected, free of charge, at the offices of the Council at Civic Centre (Floor 2, Chief Executive & Town Clerk’s Department), Victoria Avenue, Southend-on-Sea, between the hours of 8.30 am and 4.45 pm Monday to Friday.
