HIGHWAYS ACT 1980
THE A5195 TRUNK ROAD (BIRMINGHAM NORTHERN RELIEF ROAD LINK ROAD) (DETRUNKING) ORDER 200
The Secretary of State for Transport hereby gives notice that he proposes to make
an Order under section 10 and 12 of the Highways Act 1980 which will provide that
lengths of the A5195 Trunk Road:
Between its junction with the A5 at Brownhills and the Boundary of Walsall and the
County of Staffordshire at New Town;
Between the boundary of Walsall and the County of Staffordshire at New Town and the
southern boundary of its roundabout junction with the M6 Toll, excluding the circulatory
carriageway of that roundabout;
shall cease to be a trunk road and shall be classified as a principal road from the
date on which the Order comes into force.

Any person may object to the making of this Order not later than 28 August 2003 or
within 6 weeks from the date of first publication of this notice, if that period expires
later. Any objection must be made in writing to the Secretary of State at the Highways
Agency, Broadway, Broad Street, Birmingham B15 1BL, quoting Ref HA/065/018/000136
and stating the grounds of objection. In the preparation of an objection and the statement
of grounds of objection, it should be borne in mind that the substance of any objection
or representation might be communicated to other people who may be affected by it.
