THE LEWISHAM (WAITING AND LOADING RESTRICTION) (AMENDMENT NO  ) TRAFFIC ORDER 2003

1. Notice is hereby given that Lewisham Council propose to make this traffic Order under the provisions of section 6 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. 2. The general nature and effect of the Order will be to amend the consolidation Order, the Lewisham (Waiting and Loading Restriction) Order 1990, to vary or to introduce restrictions as follows: (a) “No Waiting At Any Time, No Loading or Unloading At Any Time” at: (i) Brockley Road, west side, within 10 metres of junction Beecroft Road; (ii) Brockley Road, east side, within 10 metres north and 4 metres south of junction Merritt Road; (iii) Brockley Road, east side, within 24 metres north and 10 metres south of junction Darfield Road; (iv) Beecroft Road, both sides, within 10 metres of junction Brockley Road; (v) Darfield Road, both sides, within 10 metres of junction Brockley Road; (vi) De Frene Road, south side, within 10 metres of junction with Niederwald Road; (vii) Lee Road, west side, extending existing restriction from junction with Lee Terrace to 5.5 metres south of common boundary of Nos 6 and 8 (replacing removed parking place); (viii) Lushington Road, south side, between Leof Crescent and Oakview Road; (ix) Merritt Road, both sides, within 10 metres of junction Brockley Road; (x) Mount Ash Road, both sides, within 5 metres of junction Kirkdale; (xi) Mount Gardens, south-east side, within 5 metres of junction Kirkdale; (xii) Niederwald Road, both sides, within 5 metres of junction De Frene Road; (xiii) Oakview Road, west side; and (xiv) Sedgehill Road, north side, within 10 metres west of junction Oakview Road; (b) “No Waiting At Any Time” at: (i) Brockley Road, west side, within 10 metres of junction Bartram Road; (ii) Brockley Road, west side, within 10 metres of junction Whitbread Road; (iii) Brockley Road, east side, 55 metre length opposite junction Whitbread Road; (iv) Bartram Road, both sides, within 10 metres of junction Brockley Road; (v) Kirkdale, north-east side, 15 metre length midway between junctions with Charlecote Grove and Hassocks Close; (vi) Kirkdale, south-west side, from midway between junctions with Panmure Road and Mount Ash Road to 5 metres north-west of junction Mount Ash Road; (vii) Kirkdale, south-west side, within 5 metres south-east of junction Mount Gardens; (viii) Railway Terrace; and (ix) Whitbread Road, both sides, within 10 metres of junction Brockley Road; (c) “No Waiting Mondays to Saturdays inclusive 8.00 am to 6.30 pm” at Kirkdale, south-west side, from 5 metres north-west of junction Mount Ash Road to 5 metres south-east of junction Mount Gardens; (d) Removing lengths of time limited parking places at Brockley Road, east side: (i) 10 metre length between junctions with Darfield and Merritt Roads; and (ii) 20 metre length between junctions with Brockley Grove and Marnock Road; and (e) Redefining as only the length of Laleham Road lying north of the “red” route side road restriction off Brownhill Road, that is the length within the controlled parking zone, being subject to “No Waiting Mondays to Fridays inclusive 9.00 am to 7.00 pm” restriction, except at designated parking places subject to their controls. 3. Exemptions from the restrictions include Council and utility company vehicles engaged on certain duties, vehicles stopping to avoid an accident, ambulance, fire brigade and police vehicles and anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform. 4. Documents giving more detailed particulars of the Order and measures can be inspected between the hours of 10.00 am and 4.00 pm on Mondays to Fridays at the office of Lewisham Highways Development, Wearside Service Centre (Fleet Building, 1st Floor), Wearside Road, Ladywell, London SE13 (telephone 020 8314 2265). 5. Any objection or other representation relating to the Order must be made in writing and any objection must specify the grounds on which it is made. Any such objection or representation must be sent quoting Ref “P. Sear/W&L/Brockley&c” to Lewisham Highways Development, Wearside Service Centre, Wearside Road, London SE13 7EZ, to arrive not later than 21 days from the date of publication of this notice.
