THE A36 TRUNK ROAD (WYLYE BYPASS, WILTSHIRE) (50 MPH SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 200

The Secretary of State for Transport hereby gives notice that he proposes to make the above-mentioned Order under section 84(1)(a) and (2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, on the A36 Trunk Road in the district of Salisbury in the county of Wiltshire. The effect of the Order would be to impose a 50 mph speed limit on the following lengths of the A36 Trunk Road at Wylye in the district of Salisbury in the county of Wiltshire: (a) on the southbound carriageway from a point 535 metres north-west of the centre of the signal controlled junction at Wylye to a point 365 metres south-east of the centre of the same junction, a distance along the trunk road of approximately 900 metres; (b) on the northbound carriageway from a point 1,385 metres south-east of the centre of the signal controlled junction at Wylye to a point 115 metres north-west of the centre of the same junction, a distance along the trunk road of approximately 1,500 metres. Copies of the draft Order, of a plan illustrating the proposal and of a statement of the Secretary of State’s reasons for proposing to make the Order may be inspected during opening hours at Wylye Post Office, High Street, Wylye, Warminster, Wiltshire BA12 0QR and Heytesbury Post Office Stores, 67 High Street, Heytesbury, Warminster, Wiltshire BA12 0ED. They may also be obtained by application to the Highways Agency, Traffic Operations, Zone 2/03K, Temple Quay House, 2 The Square, Temple Quay, Bristol BS1 6HA, or by e-mailing: adarea2 @highways.gsi.gov.uk, quoting Ref HA028/003/124. Any person wishing to object to the proposed Order should send not later than 24 July 2003, or within 21 days from the date of first publication of this notice if that period expires later, a written statement of his or her objection and the grounds on which it is made to the Highways Agency, Operations, Zone 2/03K, Temple Quay House, 2 The Square, Temple Quay, Bristol BS1 6HA, or by e-mail to adarea2 @highways.gsi.gov.uk, quoting Ref HA028/003/124.
