NOTICE OF APPLICATION TO VARY A LICENCE TO ABSTRACT WATER

Take notice that Kraft Foods UK Ltd, of St Georges House, Bayshill Road, Cheltenham, Gloucestershire GL50 3AE, is applying to the Environment Agency to vary licence serial number 2/27/24/031 to abstract water from a borehole in the Sherwood Sandstone at National Grid Ref SE 5982 4967 at Bishopthorpe Road, York within the Unitary Authority of York. The variation being applied for is to increase the quantities which may be abstracted for cooling purposes at the factory premises in Bishopthorpe Road, York to 300,000 cubic metres per year, 1,000 cubic metres per day and 42 cubic metres per hour. A copy of the application and any maps, plans and other documents submitted with it may be inspected, free of charge, at all reasonable hours at Kraft Foods UK Ltd, Bishopthorpe Road, York between 22 May and 26 June 2003. Any person who wishes to make representations about the application should do so in writing to the Environment Agency, Licensing Section, Coverdale House, Aviator Court, Clifton Moor, York YO30 4GZ before the end of the said period.
